Bending Branches Catalyst ST
The Bending Branches Catalyst ST is a classic straight shaft canoe paddle. The beautifully crafted blade is made of basswood, roasted basswood, maple, and red alder. The Rockgard around the edge is fiberglass. Shaft is basswood.
The Catalyst is the new sustainable canoe paddle from Bending Branches. Handcrafted from a combination of basswood, roasted basswood, red alder, and maple remnants from our first-quality paddles, it’s giving new life to what might have gone to waste. Not only is this paddle sparking change in the company as they make sustainable practices a priority, they hope the Catalyst sparks change in your own community. $5 from every paddle purchased will be donated to American Rivers non-profit. The construction of the wood remnants means each blade layout is slightly unique.
At 24 oz., the Catalyst is day trip ready. Designed for comfort with an ovalized shaft and a freestyle palm grip, this lightweight paddle will stand up to hours of paddling. The Catalyst exceeds BB’s strength testing standards with full Rockgard® coverage and a 4 oz. fiberglass wrap. Ideal for flatwater, it’s all smooth paddling from here with the Catalyst.
Hand-crafted in Osceola, Wisconsin. The Catalyst Straight is available in lengths of 52 inches to 60 inches (in 2-inch increments).
