My paddling career began early, canoeing on the quiet little lakes of Indiana with my Dad. When I moved to San Diego in elementary school I turned the canoe in for a surfboard, and eventually a kayak. I began to paddle in earnest around the coastal caves and in the warm surf. In 2016, I moved to Portland to attend Lewis and Clark College. I quickly fell in love with the beautiful mountain lakes and rivers of the PNW, and set to work exploring them! During the year I work for Lewis and Clark’s outdoor program leading kayaking trips, backpacking trips, and the odd mushroom hunting trip. In the summers, I am a coach here at Alder Creek! As one of the youngest members of the team here at Alder Creek I still have a lot to learn and I hope to share that journey with you!
