Lumpy Waters 2018
Lumpy Waters 2018 – It was a great weekend of boating. Over 150 paddlers converged on Pacific City, Oregon to enjoy incredible weather, fun surf and surfing, rock garden paddling, skills building clinics and even an afternoon with the whales! Lumpy 10 was really a 10 this year!
Program manager Andrew Romanelli from Alder Creek Kayak and Canoe put on a wonderful event. All three days saw high temps in the 60’s, sunshine and light to moderate offshore winds. Check out www.lumpywaters.com for info on the 2019 Lumpy 11 event.
The food service was awesome and Suzi does a great job of taking care of the logistical coordination for every student.
We had an incredible slate of visiting coaches including Freya Hoffmeister and Gordon Brown.
And let’s not forget our Lumpy 1 to 9 Admiral- Paul Kuthe. Paul ran classes all weekend long, what a pleasure to have him on the water at this years Lumpy Waters 2018.
And here are a few shots from one of Paul’s Rock gardening classes.
