3.5 Days
Adult: $260.00 Plus $10 for 1 Star assessment or $495.00 if you sign up for both FISEA I & II
ALL PADDLING GEAR PROVIDED
FOUNDATION LEVEL: Introductory experience required
This class is offered at our Portland location.
Objective: By getting you on the water three and a half days in a short period of time you will learn more and absorb a higher number of concepts. Optimum retention of knowledge can be achieved when you have more opportunity for reinforcement. A clear progression of classes translates to greater paddling skills and increased enthusiasm for the sport!
Full Immersion Sea Kayak I will be scheduled periodically throughout the year. Call to reserve your spot in the next class.

Outline: Full Immersion Sea Kayak I
Pool session during the week at North Clackamas Aquatic Park
Edging, Bracing, and balance in the pool along with re-entry review
Basic Seamanship including chart reading and practical navigation
Boat Control and maneuvering
Trip planning and group awareness
Basic Rescues
Thurs / Saturday & Sunday
Upon Completion of Full Immersion 1 the customer will receive:
1 free rental package
On the water, You Will Need:
- Tennis shoes or river sandals with wool socks or wetsuit booties
- Sunglasses with retention device (i.e. Croakies, Chums, etc)
- Sunscreen (SPF 30), lip balm (SPF 15)
- Sun hat, rain hat, and/or fleece hat
- Synthetic top and bottom (thermal underwear, heavier wt. for cooler weather)
- Rain coat and rain pants
- Nylon shorts and/or swimsuit
- Water bottle (1 quart)
- Towel and change of clothes for ride home
- Lunch and snacks
Optional Gear:
- Camera with film, batteries and dry
storage
Meeting Place/Directions:
This class meets at the Jantzen Beach location. You will receive detailed instructions and a map with your confirmation packet.
